Dia de los Muertos altar and folk art workshop at Studio Maureen
Last year (2011), the ArtOberfest Walkabout featured:
  • McM Gallery -- Cotton Candy Cowgirl featuring the work of Lindy Ivey.
  • The Next Door Gallery -- Opening of "Night Lights and Drawings" by Darcy Abrahams.
  • Bad Madge & Co. -- "The Painted Ladies" by Lady Jeanne.
  • The Grove at Juniper & 30th -- New paintings by Kathleen Cline.
  • South Park Fitness -- Rock 'n' roll legends paintings by local artist Courtney Klos.
  • So Childish -- Silhouette cutouts by Judith Housel, and prints from Butcherpress.com.
  • Junc Boutique -- "Blood Moon" group art show opening.
  • Plum Pottery -- New work by pottery students.
  • Make Good -- "What is True?" community-created art piece. We'll have a giant easel, paints and more, inviting folks to help create a large work of art that answers the question, "What is True?"
  • Alchemy -- Featuring the art of Amy Baca Lopez.
  • HomeEc Studio -- Mask-making for kids. (Parents can drop kids off by 6:30pm, roam the Walkabout, and pick them up at 7:45pm.)
  • Baby Garten Studio -- Photo op for kids at the giant cutout.
  • Studio Maureen -- Dia de Los Muertos altar-building workshop and folk art.
  • Clarity Soap & Candles -- Collage art by Amanda Slater, jewelry by Judy Green.
  • Disclosed unLocation -- Opening of  "Partial Knowledge of Things" by Joshua Miller.
  • Some Like it Shot Photography -- Vintage photos at holiday backdrop. Spooky!
  • The Vissudha Creatives -- Gallery show.
Anniversary Parties:
  • Grant's Marketplace -- 9th anniversary, featuring music by The Tail Draggers.
  • Thomas Bike Shop -- 10th anniversary for current family owners, South Park's oldest business. Plenty of fun for all!
  • South Bark Dog Wash -- 11th anniversary is this Monday!

  • Marcia Forman Band at The Big Kitchen.
  • Marie Haddad - playing at MCM Gallery.
